WHAT IS ANXIETY?

Let's know more about anxiety disorder .

Anxiety is a normal response of our body to a danger or psychological stress and is functional for our survival precisely because when we are facing a danger, it induces a fight or flight response.

If this response of our body is balanced it can help us face challenges, but if the anxious reaction is disproportionate then it can cause profound discomfort.

Anxiety disorder is the most common pathology in Italy, in fact there are 8.5 million Italians (39% are young) who have suffered from anxiety at least once in their lives. A statistic that is rapidly increasing considering all the disorders that can cause anxiety, stress and panic attacks .

This data was collected by Eurodap , which in an online survey wanted to investigate how habitually people experience some of the typical symptoms of anxiety and panic.

The results showed that out of 700 subjects:

79% had frequent and intense physical manifestations of anxiety;

73% perceive themselves as a very apprehensive person who easily worries about small things/situations;

68% say they feel uncomfortable being away from home or familiar places
